KidStrong: Superpowers Unlocked for Kids

Imagine a place where kids don’t just run around, they train to be superheroes of life. Welcome to KidStrong, where every game, high-five, and smile is a building block in a child’s journey toward confidence, resilience, and joy.

The Origin Story:

In 2015, parents Matt and Megin Sharp from Lexington, Kentucky, dreamed of helping their daughter Ella grow stronger—not just physically but in confidence too. What began as a heartfelt mission on a napkin in a restaurant blossomed into a science-backed movement. Alongside Lincoln Brown, they co-founded KidStrong, and what started with one idea has now soared to over 160 locations, serving 65,000+ kids weekly across the U.S. and Canada.

The KidStrong Approach: Whole Child, Whole Heart

KidStrong isn’t about laps or repetition, it’s about deliberately building Character, Body, and Mind in every session.

Strong Character: Through fun challenges, kids practice teamwork, grit, respect, and sportsmanship.

Strong Body: From agility drills to coordination games, each activity promotes physical confidence and strength.

Strong Mind: Puzzles, brainteasers, and strategic games spark creativity, cognitive development, and problem-solving skills.

Each 45-minute class is structured, yet feels like play, where learning and laughter go hand in hand. Feedback from parents in 2023 showed:

💪96% saw a boost in self-confidence

💪88% noticed their child’s social skills improving

💪85% said KidStrong was more fun than other programs

Behind the Scenes: Science Meets Fun

KidStrong designs its curriculum in collaboration with child development experts, including occupational therapists, sports scientists, and educators. Their methodology ensures that every activity supports emotional, physical, and mental growth.

Beyond the Classes: Training the Coaches

KidStrong takes its mission seriously, even their coaches train hard! Aspiring trainers go through multi-level certification, including General Manager and HQ Coach certifications, to maintain high-quality programming across the nation.

Camp, Parties, and Parent Connection

Camps: When school’s out, KidStrong Academy steps in with full-day camps packed with obstacle courses, games like Floor is Lava, closing ceremonies, and STEAM challenges—while parents get in on the celebration.

Parties: KidStrong turns birthday fun into skill-building adventures.

Parent Involvement: Parents aren’t sidelined: they watch, cheer, and celebrate each milestone.

In Omaha’s Backyard

Their mission is simple but powerful: helping kids win at life and it’s thriving right here in our community!
