π Fun Family Activities to do this summer!!! π
π¦ Splash Parks π¦
A great place to cool off and have fun, with sprinklers, sprayers, & fountains. Kids (and adults) can run around and get wet, it's like playing in the rain, but with cool shapes and water toys.
π³ Kids Bowl FREE π³
This is a program that allows registered children to enjoy TWO free games of bowling throughout the summer at participating bowling centers.
ππ½ Farmer's Market π½ π
Be Sure to check out our events calendar for the schedule!
πππ Go to Storytime at the Library π π π
Omaha Public Library has several branches across the metro offering free programming. Check out the weekly storytimes and hands-on activities in the children’s section.
Ralston, LaVista, Papillion, & Bellevue libraries also have amazing programs and kid friendly activities!
π Visit the RiverFront in Downtown Omaha π
There is something for everyone in the combination of three different parks in the heart of Downtown Omaha. There are open park spaces, an amphitheater, public art, and playground features for kids – like the Arches Playground, Cascades interactive water feature, and the Skate Ribbon.
π Explore “The Bob” (Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge) π
Who knew a bridge could be so fun? Between standing in two states at once (there is just something about that spot where you have one foot in Nebraska and another in Iowa) and finding Omar the Troll under the bridge ( rubbing his toe allegedly makes your wish come true!). Now you can also walk the The “baby” Bob bridge, connecting to the Bob pedestrian bridge on Riverfront to 10th Street.
π«On the Nebraska side, enjoy the Omaha Plaza with an interactive water fountain during the warmer months, and also access the National Park Service Visitors Center. This Visitors Center has some hands-on displays for kids as well as a dress up center.
π₯ Get Creative and Visit Do Space π₯
Do Space is a technology library providing free access with programs and events for everyone in Omaha, including kids!
πΌ Explore the Joslyn Museum πΌ
We are so lucky to have the Joslyn Museum! Admission is always free and there are special gallery presentations and activities on the first Saturday of the month for Art-Tastic Saturdays.
