Hands down this has been the best year we’ve had for back-to-school clothes shopping. Less stress for this mom of tweens and far less complaining from the tweens ... it's a win, win for all of us. And we owe it all to Evsie™. Evsie is now our go to clothing store for the girls, especially for this coming school year. Of course, we love Evsie for the wide variety of clothes, but we also love Evsie for their special events that not only entertain – they help build confidence while having fun.

This past weekend was the perfect example of just that when my girls participated in Evsie’s Rock the Runway fashion show. Each girl is given the opportunity to go into their local Evsie store ahead of time and pick out the perfect outfit, including accessories, that matches their specific style – for us it’s one sporty and one girly.
On the day of the Rock the Runway event, they arrive ready to Rock the Runway in style and full of confidence and grace. Just seeing all of the girls beaming with pride as they are introduced and truly rocking that runway was a thing of joy to behold.

The other benefit I noticed was how kind and gracious all of the tweens were with each other. Seeing them compliment each other on their choice of outfit and how well they looked wearing it was a welcome change for once in a world that now has young girls more often than not being mean and competitive with their peers. They cheered each other on as they strutted their stuff.
I really believe Evsie, especially with the events, has truly figured out how to encourage girls to choose kindness over meanness with a wide range of styles, including plus sizes and adaptive clothing, and events like Rock the Runway.

Much of that can also be attributed to the amazing staff that helps each girl find their style to express themselves. For us, it’s Melissa and Lydia in the DeKalb, IL, store. They have been amazing each time we have visited the store by really getting to know each of my girls and their individual styles and then helping them choose outfits that help them express themselves.

So it didn’t surprise me to find out that Evsie is helping support the Kind Campaign through the month of August.
For each “Kindness” bracelet sold, Evsie will be donating 50% of proceeds to the Kind Campaign. The Kind Campaign is a nationally recognized nonprofit that brings awareness and healing to negative and lasting effects of girl-against-girl bullying through their global movement, documentary film, in-school assemblies (about 350 each year – all free of charge) and educational curriculums.
