Mom Truths Game by Cat and Nat

Good times and great laughs

By Jennifer Ross January 22, 2020

Recently I received the game Mom Truths, by Cat and Nat. If you are not familiar with these adorable blonde mamas on social media, you need to check them out, they crack me up! I always find their raw look at mom life refreshing. I was super excited to get a peek at their new game and had been itching to get some gals together, so it was perfect timing. Knowing this game was based on Cat and Nat’s hilarious, uncensored humor, I gathered some of my cheekiest gal pals, popped some bottles of wine, and got to playing.

The very best part about playing the Mom Truths game was the laughter and bonding that happened. We hung out for about 3 hours and actually never even got through playing the entire game because each round sparked various anecdotal episodes based on the sentences or responses being laid. For example, how I still am perplexed to why I find long strands of my hair inside my baby’s poop. How is he eating it and why is it not digested? Or how most of the moms commiserated over saggy boobs, but my bestie and I are still holding out hope that ours will come in so we can quit stuffing. 😊 And the ever-baffling quest for our husbands to find something. It’s on the shelf, to the right, literally right in front of your face Aaron! It was so much fun to be with my mama friends; laughing at ourselves, situations we’ve been in, and know that we are all on the strugglebus called motherhood.

The Mom Truths game is a card game (made here in the USA), similar in style to Cards Against Humanity or Apples to Apples. You have a group of “set up” cards and then each player rotates through “completion” cards, meaning the phrase or word completes the “set up” card. This card game is all about the Moms though! I loved that Mom Truths brought up all those hilarious moments we have as women, related to our lady parts, being pregnant, managing momlife, sex, and more. We all go through it, but we many times still feel like we are the only one experiencing it. It’s a hilarious look at what we deal with daily as moms, wives, and all-around wonderwomen. I would say that Mom Truths is a nice in-between of Cards Against Humanity and Apples to Apples. It has more adult content than Apples to Apples, but not as many cringy moments as I’ve had with Cards Against Humanity. There is definitely something for everyone.

My crew had a great time playing Mom Truths and I can’t wait to invite the ladies over to play again, have more laughs… and more wine! If you are wanting to pick up a game of your own, you can find them online only at www.momtruthsgame.com or on Amazon.

While I did receive the Mom Truths game as compensation, the accounts and review are all mine.
