Looking for a great place to have fun and burn some energy here in West Omaha? Have we got the place for you! This week, during my kids' Fall Break we decided to alleviate some of their wiggles by meeting friends at Urban Air Trampoline & Adventure Park. I decided to take just my 6 & 8 year old along, so that I could be free to catch up with my bestie while our kids played. But I know my 2 year old would have been jealous if he knew what he missed out on during naptime... So, shhh! We have been to a few "trampoline" places here in Omaha, but this is one of our favorites! The place is huge and has an amazing variety to choose from. I also like that there are different areas for younger and older kids.
What can be found at Urban Air? The better question is, what can't? This place literally has it all; trampolines, obstacle courses, climbing areas, and the list goes on! My kids were on the go without stopping for the whole two and a half hours we were there. Generally, places like this make me a bit nervous and have me sitting on edge, waiting for someone to get hurt. However, I did not have that fear here. Not only was there staff stationed at each area, but they were attentive and interactive with the kids.
I also really liked how they had their trampoline areas split up, which looked like it also helped alleviate the risk of getting hurt. There was a whole area for bouncing and playing, a second with crash mats for flipping onto, a third area for dodge ball, and a fourth area for more parkour type play. But trampolines are only the beginning here. They also have a "Ninja Warrior" style course over a huge ball pit that the kids were loving and had fun racing each other over. From things to hang on, bounce off of, balance on, the course was a true test of agility wrapped in fun.
In addition to the obstacle course, the kids also did multiple trips across their ropes course high above our heads. With a harness that followed them throughout the course, the kids were able to navigate all the different obstacles on their own. They also thought they were pretty cool being up that high. My 6yo is on the smaller side, so, unfortunately, he was not able to participate in the ropes course. But he was ok with it because while the other kids did that, he was able to try out the climbing area, with a wall, posts, and more! He got a sense of independence and his own fun, up in the sky.
The one area my kids didn't spend much time was the huge play area located near the front, which is full of cool tubes, slides, and climbing. While a really fun feature, it tends to draw more of the younger crowd. I know that had I brought my 2yo with me, he would have been running like a maniac through it, from floor to ceiling.
We had been to Urban Air before, but not for a long time. I had forgotten just how cool it was and how much fun the kids always have. We also were able to take advantage of a BOGO deal they had going on, so I paid just under $40 for the 2 Ultimate passes. This gave my kids unlimited access to all areas for 2 and a half hours.
Their BOGO deal is good through the end of October, so if you haven't tried them out yet, this is the perfect opportunity.
I know this will definitely be on our list of places to escape to during Winter Break, if not before then.
