Fall Bucket List - Caramel Apples

There's more than one way to caramel an apple...

Each week we will be sharing tips on how you can cross off items from our Fall Bucket List. Missed the list? Click HERE to see it.

This week we are bringing you some fun ways to revamp your caramel apple game. I personally find caramel apples yummy, but kind of annoying to eat. They make a mess and are hard to bite. I also cringe at my kiddos working their way through one... One big gooey mess!

Here are a few different takes on this fall phenomenon that you are sure to love.

Caramel Apple Slices

Just slice, stick, dip, and top!  These treats are easier to eat and less messy. Traditional caramel apples give you a glorious first few bites and then leave you with sad un-topped apple flesh. But these slices provide optimum surface for toppings and really give the best caramel to apple ratio.

Caramel Apple Wedges

A cousin to the wedge, but just as delicious. There is still plenty of surface for caramel and toppings. It is mostly about personal preference with these.

Caramel Apple Nachos

Another fun variation!  Basically the wedge above, minus the stick. All the perks from above, but definitely messier, due to the use of your fingers. I particularly like this option for younger kids. It removes the stick as a potential choking hazard or use as a weapon against siblings.

Don't Forget The Toppings!
